There are 88 seats available on the Deccan Odyssey train. Its length is roughly 2300 feet (700 meters). The 21 opulent coaches include two dining cars, a conference saloon with a business center, a tiny gym, an ayurvedic spa, a bar lounge, and saloons for 12 guests. A common hallway connects the entire train, and the dining cars are located in the middle, with six passenger saloons on either side. Modern conveniences mixed with a touch of history.

Itinerary

Day 1: Aboard in Mumbai

Arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (Fort Area) by 3:30 PM.
Traditional welcome and check-in for your journey through Maharashtra’s royal landscapes.
Settle into your elegant cabin aboard the Deccan Odyssey.
Depart Mumbai as the train sets off toward Nashik.
Enjoy a delectable dinner onboard and your first night on this opulent train.

Day 2: Sacred Nashik & Sula Vineyards

Begin your day in Nashik, known for its religious heritage and vineyards.
Walk along the sacred Godavari Ghats witnessing Hindu rituals in motion.
Explore vibrant local markets filled with spices, seafood, flowers, and more.
Visit the famous Sula Vineyards for a guided tour and wine tasting experience.
Learn about winemaking and sample their finest red, white, and sparkling selections.
Enjoy lunch amidst the vineyards before returning to the train.
The Deccan Odyssey departs for Aurangabad. Dinner onboard.

Day 3: Ellora Caves & Aurangabad

Arrive in Aurangabad, named after the last great Mughal Emperor, Aurangzeb.
Drive to the UNESCO-listed Ellora Caves – 34 rock-cut temples dedicated to Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain faiths.

Day 4: Ajanta Caves

Return to the train for lunch.

Day 5: Kolhapur

Government Service tax of 5% is additional and will be charged extra on the published tariff.
As the train runs on the tracks of the Indian Railways, the itineraries are subject to change incase of any changes in the routing etc.
Prices are subject to change incase of any amendment in the routing or other hikes such as fuel,taxes etc.
Children below 5 years of age shall be allowed free, subject to sharing of double bed with parents. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking.
Presidential Suite can accommodate upto 3 adults or 2 Adults and 2 children (One child upto 5 years of age and second child up to 12 years of age) child.

Cancellation:

Any cancellation must be advised immediately by Email and subsequently confirmed by letter to the Central Reservation Division
No cancellation on cancelling 60 days prior to the departure date
Retention of 20% of ticket value on cancelling 59 - 45 days prior to the departure date
Retention of 50% of ticket Value on cancelling 44 - 30 days prior to the departure date
Retention of 100% of ticket value on cancelling 35 days prior to the departure date

Cancellation Rules

The Deccan Odyssey Train Tour is operated through a joint collaboration between the Tourism Department of Maharashtra Government.
Clique Holidays acts solely as a booking agent and holds no operational liability.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and acknowledged by us.

Special Cancellation & Refund Conditions

If the the Train Tour Operator cancels the scheduled departure for any reason, a full refundwill be provided
No refund will be issued if:
- The guest fails to follow the scheduled itinerary or shortens their journey.
- The guest is unable to obtain an Indian visa.
In case of a medical emergency, supporting medical records will be reviewed by the Train Management, and their decision will be final.
If a refund is applicable, Clique Holidays LLP reserves the right to deduct USD 100 per person as bank processing fees.
Refunds will be processed based on the Indian Rupees exchange value received at the time of payment.

Important

The scheduled train tour departure is subject to a minimum booking of 25 passengers.
All foreign passport holders must obtain an Indian visa before boarding their flight from their country of residence.
Guests are strongly advised to purchase travel insurance in their home country prior to departure.
